Canard (”duck” in french,) is a fine dining neo-French restaurant in Oregon. They’re best known for their wide array of wines, cocktail selection, and unique dinner plates.

For this logo, it was important to establish a love for the ingredients that support a fine dining experience. The duck's outstretched wings invoke a heart.

One of my favorite things about etching-style logos - they often look great inverted.

I completed a clean modernist version of the logo for clarity in smaller applications.

Who doesn’t love some behind-the-scenes? Here is the sketch that turned into the final logo.
